Paulo nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, numa família humilde de pais trabalhadores. Desde cedo viu muita coisa errada e ilegal no bairro onde morava, que era controlado por alguns criminosos, onde cada um achava que era mais dono do pedaço que o outro. Tantos amigos próximos da família e vizinhos foram prejudicados de alguma maneira pelos bandidos locais, que Paulo achou que devia fazer alguma coisa. Assim que teve idade suficiente, entrou pra polícia civil do Rio. Primeira coisa que fez na corporação foi prender os vagabundos que comandavam o bairro. Depois disso, Paulo foi prendendo bandidos cada vez mais "poderosos" e influentes, atualmente sendo conhecido como um policial honesto que não tem preguiça de fazer seu trabalho.
